Villa Mairea is not fully accessible
- From the parking area (Pikkukoivukuja 20) it is a 300-meter uphill gravel road.
- If necessary, we can reserve a space for you in the staff parking area next to the house if you contact us in advance.
- Only vehicles with a permit are allowed to drive into the immediate vicinity of the building.
- The main entrance to the building has four slate steps, a landing and two more steps. The height of each step is approximately 12 cm. The steps have no handrails.
- Inside the house, from the entrance hall, there are four 14 cm high steps to the main floor level, where the guided tour takes place.
- If you use a wheelchair, please contact us in advance so that we can make practical arrangements. Wheelchair access is possible through the office door. The door has one 13 cm high slate step and a 10 cm high threshold. In addition, there are two more low thresholds when entering through this entrance. The width of the narrowest doorway is 82 cm.

- Villa Mairea does not have an accessible toilet.
- The building’s public restroom is available to customers during the tour.
Indoor visit
- A maximum of 15 people can participate in the tour.
- Villa MaireaThere is no waiting area. The guide will come to the main door at the agreed time.
- In the hallway, shoes are taken off or plastic covers are put on over them.
- There are chairs in the hallway for changing shoes.
- Jackets and bags are left on the coat rack.
- Staff will assist with clothing storage if needed.
- There are four 14 cm high steps from the hallway to the main floor rooms.
- A visit to the house takes about an hour.
- Stand during the tour
- There are four chairs available for customers, which can be moved from one room to another during the tour if necessary.
- The floors have wool pile carpets with non-slip mats underneath.
Guide dogs
Assistance dogs and guide dogs are welcome. Please contact us before your visit if you are visiting with an assistance dog or guide dog.
